Bine ați venit!

My name is Joseph Lutz. In June 2018, I started my Peace Corps journey in the country of Moldova, serving as a Community Economic Development volunteer. I primarily worked in a library with secondary partners being the local school, primaria, and a local NGO. My area of work was in community and economic development, working to make these organizations in my village more sustainable.

A Little about Myself

In May 2017, I graduated from Purdue University. And prior to serving in the Peace Corps, I worked for a local museum and the Department of Parks & Rec in a city government in the state of Indiana (If you are thinking of the TV show, my job was like that). I loved those jobs and living in the Midwest. Peace Corps was a profound experience, and now I am excited for the new chapter in my life.

After gaining new experiences in government, the Post Office, and working full time in a museum, I was presented with a new opportunity to serve as Moldova’s first Peace Corps Response cohort.

I have many years of experience in the writing and journalist field. I have worked for a regional newspaper as a columnist and a News Correspondent, and rose to the rank of editor and publisher of a community newsletter. I’ve tried my hands at many other types of writing, and now as a new adventure unfolds before me, the next step was to start a blog. I originally created this blog to make it easier for everyone back home to follow along with the journey I was on for the 2 years I served in Moldova. Now that I’m back in Moldova, I plan to continue to tell my adventures and experiences, and I hope you enjoy. Thank you for reading and be on the lookout for new articles soon.
