It’s hard to believe summer has gone and autumn has arrived. The weather has definitely changed into fall around here. And if the weather wasn’t an indication, then the color of the leaves surely are; fall is here. The scenery is definitely earning its name: Toamna de Aur or Golden Autumn.

Just one of the many trees in the part that are changing colors.

If you are a regular reader of this page, you will probably have noticed that it has been quite a while since my last post. Quite a few months. I have been rather busy: helping with a baseball camp in southern Moldova; helping train new volunteers learn new skills; organizing clubs and activities in my village; working on a project; visiting with host family members; witnessing a host nephew’s baptism; going to Poland; celebrating a host sister’s wedding; meeting Returned Peace Corps volunteers; assisting at the school; going to Germany; planning new activities and programs; helping pick grapes; assisting with wine-making; and now, preparing for Halloween. It seems like a never ending adventure.

In the upcoming weeks, I plan to run through the last few months of what life has been like for me here in Moldova. Comparing last summer to this summer, I can confidently say that this year has moved 10 times faster. It is hard to believe it’s already Fall here. I constantly ask myself “Where has the time gone?”

For now, grab a cup of joe and enjoy the rest of your day. If you have any questions you’d like me to address about my work, what I have been up to, Moldovan culture from the view of an American, or anything else, feel free to ask. I’m happy to answer anything. Until next time.
