In Moldova, Christmas is celebrated according to the Orthodox calendar. As such, Christmas was January 7th. This day is filled with many religious activities, family gatherings, food, and fun. The gallery below shows photos Children’s Choir from church, some of my host family and I taking a quick selfie before getting back to sledding and snowball fights, and a slew of food related photos.

Special thanks to my host sister Renata for being the “official” photographer for the day. Almost all of the credit for the photos above belong to her.

Make yourself a cup of joe and come back Sunday to read about Moldovan Christmas festivities and my first Moldovan Christmas.
